I've been coming here for over 14 years and to me it's the best ! Most Chinese restaurants use cornstarch to thicken their sauces but rice bowl doesn't ... The sauce or gravy (whichever you prefer ) is from the natural juices of the meat and vegetables, which I love . The vegetables are always fresh and yes the chicken wings are the best around (feathers and all lol) it's reasonably priced and I love them here

Yelp I Wish I could give them zero stars. These rude people never changed. Haven't ordered from them in ages called just a second ago to place a order with them and got hung up on because I wasn't sure what to order for a slight second. Crazy. Called back and the rude ass lady hung up on me again. This place ain't shit & never will be..

I was in the mood for some good Chinese and did a search and decided on this establishment. Not a good choice... I had the ribs with fried rice, chicken wings and an egg roll. The ribs and wings were good but the fried rice and egg rolls were not at all desirable. I'd look for a different restaurant. Won't be back here.

As soon as I walked in the smell of something terrified me, what is dinginess? I am not sure, but my friend clarified it was MSG, I didn't know MSG had a smell. Anyway, the place looks run down, but it's pretty common in this area of town. They have a few tables, the server was super attentive and nice, the food was actually pretty good, not overly greasy, good flavor, good portions, not overcooked like some Chinese dives. $6 for lunch + soup + crunchy thingies, sounds like a good deal to me, definitely coming back for lunch.

This place is kind of weird. They make really good food but you never know what they're saying. The house special fried rice used to attract customers like fleas to a donkey but oddly enough the restaurant seems to be losing its popularity. The company has been in business for 25 years so I understand if retirement is near. This family owned business is a great choice for chinese food if you're on a shoe string budget or looking to satisfy that inner Chinese craving/ desire.

So far so good. I only had the Subgum wonton soup. So I can't make any comments on the rest of their menu but this soup is great. Usually wonton soup is so salty this isn't at all. I love it.

The food is pretty good for American Chinese food, and the staff is very friendly. the prices are reasonable as well.

On a normal day I would never be caught dead in a place like this. Its a total dump. Dirty, dingy, just not someplace you'd want to give your business to. I guess its the dirt that makes the food taste so good. Their General Tso's chicken is actually chicken. Not deep fried with batter and then covered in some sweet sauce. Its actual large succulent pieces of meat. Thats what sold me on the place. So much so that I overlooked the fried rice that smells funny once in a while - like unwashed pot, and I even overlooked the chicken wing that was soooo good but had several feathers staring me in the face. Their Sesame chicken (or chicken in veggies, or Szechuan or spicy or something, i forget which exactly) is so filled with crisp vegetables, its easy to see why i'd keep coming back. Soggy vegetables are the worst. I'd install a fan over the chefs/cooks tho. And maybe a kerchief to wipe their brows. They look hot and greasy and all cooked out. Blending in quite nicely with the overall dinginess of the place. Ah well.

I've had several people tell me how good golden rice bowl is so I decided to give it a try and I wasn't too impressed. The sesame chicken wasn't as flavorful as I'd like it to be, but the vegetables were great! My point is that I've had way better Chinese food. I would be willing to come back again and try something else because everything besides the chicken was satisfying. Outside of the food, the service is great! They assured me that they'd cater to my shellfish allergy and the food is also cooked in plain sight. Scenery isn't much to look at, maybe for a 2 person lunch break with a coworker but you can tell its a restaurant more designed for take out.

I would have to agree with Serena D. Looks like a dump, but the best tasting Chicken wings you're gonna find from a Chinese Restaurant. Feathers and all!

Man. This place is the definition of "don't judge a book..." The order process was pretty rough and the environment is nothing to write home about but I will say that this is the best tasting take out that I've had in Oakland park. I will be going again.

First time here and for a little hole in the wall place the food was very flavour full the special fried rice had actual shrimp as opposed to the small shrimp you can barely see in other Chinese places combination plates are big enough to feed two people I will def be back.

The service isn't that great, but the food is great. I just hope they would cut the chicken in the fried rice smaller

The place was Ok. Nothing tasted bad but it didn't taste right either. I guess they use different recipes than the usual Chinese foods. I ordered the Honey Garlic Chicken dinner combination. My 1st issue was that the rice has no meat in it. Typically when I order a dinner combo in any other Chinese restaurant it comes w/ Pork Fried rice. I didn't expect it to be just plain fried rice. It was just rice and some egg. No bean sprouts or peas or carrots either. Very plain. The honey garlic chicken was good, but I found it a tad bland. The egg roll was spicy.. never had a spicy egg roll before. Wasn't a fan of it. I also had a side order of Crab Rangoon's, which usually I LOVE. These tasted like garlic, being Cuban, I love garlic but it just didn't go right w/ the crab rangoons. Normal recipe is just cream cheese, Krab, green onions, salt n pepper. Nothing else is needed. Garlic is just too over powering for such a light/sweet appetizer. My husband did enjoy his sweet n sour chicken so I might go back again but I will specify to have pork fried rice and not plain rice. I'm new to this area so I am going to try a few other places first.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Per the owner," I've been here 4 over 21 yrs, what do u mean you've never been here." lmao try the beef magnolia & pork in garlic sauce

If you are looking for good Chinese food, this is your place. Good cooked to order food and friendly service. Not the greatest atmosphere., but we'll worth it for the food experience.

Great food, great service, great experience. I sat right at the counter and had the food prepared directly in front of me. The cook knew most of the people coming in and prepared their food before they had a chance to order. I'm definetly going back when I'm in the Ft. Lauderdale area again.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
